One of Nepal's best known ethnic community, the Gurungs, whose charming villages dot the Annapurna foothills, have earned international reorganization as the fearless and loyal Gurkha Soldier in the British and Indian armies. This walk, which will take you through terraced hillsides, charming slate-roofed villages inhabited by the friendly Gurungs, dense moss-laden rhododendron forests, all set against a picturesque backdrop of the snowcapped Annapurnas, is one of most well known short trek in Nepal. Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Upon your arrival our representative transfers you to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu on breakfast basis.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). You depart early for the 7 hours drive by tourist deluxe bus to Pokhara (915m.), 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. This road is newly paved and is now one of the finest in Nepal! Immediately, you head up as you climb out of the Kathmandu valley, only to quickly descend again to the Trisuli River, which you follow upstream to its junction with the Marsyandi River. You follow the Marsyandi gently up through heavily terraced fields and small hill towns to the Seti Gandiki River that takes you directly into Pokhara.

Pokhara is a beautiful city with pleasant weather. It is renowned for its tourist’s paradise. This city is full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. As you approach the city, there are wonderful views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This drive will take most of the morning, leaving much of the afternoon for a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, shopping in the markets and shops, or just relaxing with a drink on the shores of the lake. Stay overnight at lake side hotel in Pokhara. Meals included: lunch and dinner.

Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi. Start trekking to Ghandruk via Syauli Bazaar and it take about five hours. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village. There is a handicraft centre and Gurung museum. From this village you could see good views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.) and Fishtail. Stay overnight at tea house. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 04: Trek from Ghandruk to Tolkha via Landruk and it takes about three and half hours. In the beginning you trek descent path until you cross a bridge over Modi Khola. Now trekking gradual uphill you reach Landruk. Landruk is a big Gurung village which is famous for wild honey.

Leaving Landruk you trek over flat path to reach Tolkha enjoying the views of above mentioned mountains, Modi Khola river valley, green hills and rice terraces. Tolkha is also a Gurung Village and a magnificent view point from where you can see the sunset view. Stay overnight at tea house. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 05: Trek from Tolkha to Pothana (1900 m.) which takes about four hours. The route is ascent till Deurali and then it turns downhill until you arrive Pothana. En route you pass forests and few villages. From Deurali you can see the fascinating mountain views. Stay overnight at tea house. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 06: Trek from Pothana to Phedi and it takes about three and half hours. Then you drive from Phedi to Pokhara which takes about 45 minutes. Stay overnight at lakeside hotel in Pokhara. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 07: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist mini bus that takes about seven hours. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli,, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to capital city. You can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu which takes approximately 25 minutes. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu on breakfast basis.

Day 08: Departure from Kathmandu. Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you'll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
