Chulu West Peak Climbing 21 Days
The massif of Chulus, it stands in front of spectacular chain of Annapurna Himal. Between the two Cholus, the west is higher then east. The view of entire slope of Annapurna II, IV, III, Gangapurna, Annapurna I, is outstanding from the top of Cholu West. Chulu West was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition. The Base Camp of this peak is situated in a small valley north of Manang, off the main trail to the Thorang La. This trip sets out from Beshi Sahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung a neighboring district of Gorkha. From Beshi Sahar the trail leads up slowly to wards Manang valley, one of the highest valleys of the world situated at an altitude of 5000m. One-day rest will be set to explore the Manang Valley and for the acclimatization. From Manang valley the route heads north to lead and on to the Chulu West Base camp. Three days are set a side for the ascent of this peak and you head to Thorong-La and follow the same route come back to Katmandu as in the “Around Annapurna Trek”.

Outlined Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. Upon your arrival our representative transfers you to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu on breakfast basis.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Beshishahar (760m.) and it takes about seven hours and trek to Khudi (790m) which takes about three hours.

Day 03: Trek from Beshishahar to Nagdi (930m.) which takes about six hours.

Day 04: Trek from Nagdi to Jagat (1300m.) and it takes about six hours.

Day 05: Trek from Jagat to Dharapani (1860m.) which takes about six and half hours.

Day 06:
Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2670m.) which takes about five hours.

Day 07:
Trek from Chame to Pisang (3155m.) and it takes about five hours.

Day 08: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540m.) which takes about five hours.

Day 09: Acclimatization day at Manang.

Day 10: Trek from Manang to Chulu west Base Camp 4000m.

Day 11: Trek to Chulu west high camp 5000m. Aprox.

Day 12: Trek from High camp. Summit 6419m and back to Base Camp

Day 13: Trek from Base Camp to Thorong Base camp {Phedi} 4500m. Aprox.

Day 14: Trek from Base Camp to Muktinath via Thorong Pass 5416m.

Day 15: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2710m.) and it takes about approximately five hours.

Day 16: Trek from Jomsom to Kalopani (2530m.) which takes about six hours.

Day 17: Trek from Kalopani to Tatopani (1190 m.) which takes about six and half hours.

Day 18: Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2750m.) and it takes about six and half hours.

Day 19: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill and trek to Nayapul (1050m.) which takes about 7 hours. Drive from Nayapul to Pokhara and it takes about one and half hours.

Day 20: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist mini bus that takes about seven hours. You can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes.

Day 21: Day at leisure in Kathmandu. There are many choices of how you may spend your leisure time on this last day, whether it be shopping and sightseeing or just relaxing around the hotel and its terrace pool. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu on breakfast basis.
